During
the past 2-years the 3 Way Split Project has continued
to grow and is now taking shape as the embryo-organisation we
hoped it would become.
We
are now an extensive group of: entrepreneures, creative professionals,
academics and business people froms all walks of life and sectors
of business who share synergy in vision and interests.
The
primary focus continues to be to in supporting the growth of creative,
cultural exchange program between Southend on Sea, Essex UK, Lake
Worth, Florida, USA and Sopot, Poland.
The
project will create, support and deliver a range of creative,
cultural, educational, heritage, sporting and enterprise exchanges
which are designed to create opportunities which we believe will
empower our communities through sharing in our commonality and
common interest as well as our differences in cultural approach
to solving some of our pressing local social and economic needs.
We
share a vision for our home towns/cities:
To be vibrant places and hubs
of activity where opportunities abound, in
terms of
improved quality and quantity of life - for all.
Where the majority are able to
lead happy, healthy and fulfilling lives.
To see the inequalities in our
communities reduced, if not irradicated.
So
what do we have in common?

All three are Pier Towns with unique yet similar coastal heritage.

Southend-on-Sea being the proud
home of the longest pleasure pier in the world.

Lake Worth - Record Breaking
Fishing Pier

Sopot - Longest wooden pier in
Europe

Well established arts, cultural
and sporting communities.

Growing creative industries enterprise
hubs

Important leisure & tourist
industries

desire to work with international,
organisations, and communities to address local
social and
economic challenges while being part of a global community

Building on our unique strengths
How
will we do this?

By delivering a range of mission
led exchanges between and across all
three
communities

Working with our project partners,
associates and supporters to
instigate,
broker, facilitate and /or commission a range of
collaborative
projects, which will result in the production of:

Public Art / Community Art Events

Publications for retail

Film & TV Content for Broadcast

Infrastructure programmes
This
project is OPEN to ALL members of the
three named communities, without exception or exclusion.
While this project has the support of our elected officials,
across our communities this project is an "Independent
Grass-Roots Initiative" so we welcome and
actively encourage the participation of the
"every day" people.
You
do not have to have any qualifications, or
experience to take participate in, or contribute to the project
or project events.
What
do we need?

In the main, your support!

Your willingness to share
in our vision and aspirations.
Why
the 3 Way Split Project is Unique
3
Way Split differs from other community 'arts based' projects in
several ways:
We
are a Collaborative Framework Project - which is developing:
- International
Open Source Management System Standards & Practice or "free-style"
system,
(Kamil
Pachalko - Transitions Westcliff & Southend 2010) outside
of the traditional
"Open Source" environment.
- Intellectual Property Protection Standards
for the creative and cultural sectors, when working
in a collaborative environment.
We
are using a "bottom-up" vs "top-down" approach
to address the needs of our communities in the main,
with
support from Local
and Regional Authorities as well as community interest
groups and businesses.
We are an
international low-cost /no cost initiative
and are NOT grant dependent.
